The last time we caught up with Kelly Rowland on the road, she was basking in the success of her mega-single "Motivation" and opening up for her boy Chris Brown on his headlining F.A.M.E. Tour. Now, she's prepping for another jaunt, this time to Australia, with Breezy. But the run is already sparking controversy.

Just days before Supafest kicks off in Oz on Saturday, MTV News caught up with the onetime Destiny's Child princess on the Atlanta set of Trey Songz's "Heart Attack" video. And if she was aware that organizers were catching heat for adding Breezy to the lineup, it didn't show. We found Rowland nothing short of giddy.

"It's gonna be incredible," Rowland said excitedly, ticking off the names of her road-mates. Indeed, after last fall's successful F.A.M.E. jaunt in the Sates, Kelly seemed psyched at the prospect of linking up again with Brown. Back on their Nassau Coliseum stop in New York, she talked about him in the sweetest light, revealing that she'd bought the "Deuces" singer a pair of J's that he insisted on wearing onstage the same night.

But before Breezy has even touched tarmac, event organizers have been defending their choice of Breezy, who was convicted in 2009 of assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, as headliner.

"At the moment, he's having No.1 records around the world, people are feeling it's appropriate because he's in demand," Supafest co-producer John Denison told Australia's Courier Mail on Tuesday (April 10), adding that he felt Brown had earned and deserved forgiveness.

Kelly, meanwhile, is just focused on performing for her fans overseas. But she also told us she's eager for them to hear what she's been cooking up in the booth. Following the chart success of her Lil Wayne-backed single "Motivation," K.Ro is not only readying her next solo album — she's documenting the process.

"I'm in the studio," she said before breaking out into conspiratorial giggles. "Man, it's been so much fun. I do wish that some of my fans could be in there for that ... [so] I have taped a lot of moments for my fans."

She went on to add that the follow-up to her third solo LP, Here I am, will have a theme: "I made sure that I locked in on a concept and everyone that's come in to work on this album, we've all built around it. It's just building up so beautifully. I'm so proud! So I can't wait till all of my fans hear it."

Rick Ross, Diddy, Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain and more join Rowland and Brown at Supafest dates in cities including Brisbane and Sydney.
