Israel abducted 208 Palestinians across the West Bank and Gaza over the month of August, according to a new report that monitors human rights abuses in the Occupied Territories.
The Ahrar Center for Human Rights and Prisoner Studies in its monthly report said 199 of the cases were from the West Bank, nine from Gaza, and one from inside Israel. Three of victims are women and several are children, the report said.
Fuad al-Khuffash, director of center, said that some of them have been released, while others remain in custody.
One of the detainees includes Asma al-Batran from Ethna village who previously spent 20 months in Israeli prison before being released in August 2009.
