Nebula Automotive has just expanded their ATV portfolio to 21 with the launch of three new products in India. The coolest amongst them and similar to a large cruiser bike is the three-wheeled Trike. Having generous seating space for two, the Trike is not a hard-core off-roading enthusiast?s machine but still will tug your heart strings. It however costs similar to an expensive cruiser at Rs 7.7 lakh. We got to have a short spin in this one and the typical twist and go facility should suit probable buyers or even first timers exposed to ATVs.
If your choice is four wheels instead of three, then Nebula has got the HS800 and AX700 to suit your needs. The whopping Rs 16.5 lakh HS800 is a twin seater ATV with a water-cooled 800cc fuel-injected engine which has a claimed top speed of 70km/hr. It can also be switched between 2WD and 4WD modes. The AX700 has a 686cc liquid-cooled EFI engine mated to a CVT transmission. It?s a hardcore off-roader with 3-way locking diff, 2WD and 4WD modes with disc brakes all around providing stopping power. All this tech obviously comes at a cost and the AX700 is priced at Rs 12 lakh. The Pune-based company also had on display an electric cycle which costs Rs 1.2 lakh.
Nebula?s ATVs are used for recreational purposes, in resorts and now the company says that even the military is interested in these products. Currently some of the ATVs are undergoing tests with the defence forces. Nebula also provides on-site service assistance and maintenance on a pan-India basis. Other products are priced between Rs 90,000 and Rs 23 lakh.
Sukhdev Asnani, managing director of Nebula Automotive commented, ?We have been in the automotive industry for the past 15 years and felt that the off-road market in India has tremendous potential.? Being an automobile enthusiast myself I thought that such vehicles should be available in India at an affordable price and hence decided to get into the ATV business.? Until now our performance and growth has been exceptional.? The addition of these new ATVs furthermore strengthens our placement in the market.? The Trike ATV and the HS800 will be unique models and we are confident that given their performance and pricing, they will be well accepted in the market.?
